DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers right-hander Mike Pelfrey will not be activated off the disabled list when he becomes eligible this week. The 32-year-old starter, who is suffering from a lower back injury, said he wont make a rehab start for another week to 10 days.After that, he will require at least two rehab appearances to build up the strength in his arm, manager Brad Ausmus confirmed in his pregame press briefing on Monday.Pelfrey said he suffered a strain of the multifidus muscle near his spine and was placed on the disabled list after his back locked up earlier this month.
