No one should accuse the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge of hothousing Prince George. But, at the age of two, the third in line to the British throne already has a tennis racket, which is younger than when most of the competitors at the All England Club first had a swing. And the Wimbledon Diary has it on good authority that if this royal prodigy does end up being a decent tennis player, that talent would have come from his mother rather than from his father (from dad he will inherit the throne, and from mum the ability to hit a backhand down the line). Someone who has watched both the Duke and Duchess on court has said that she is the more natural tennis player. On a visit to the All England Club, the Duchess told Greg Rusedski in a brief conversation on the players lawn how Prince George is enjoying his tennis. Thats reassuring to hear -- enough kids have lost their childhoods in a doomed pursuit of playing on Centre Court without the Prince adding to their numbers.Sleep is for winnersSleeping is among the hobbies of Angelique Kerber, the German who will play in her first Wimbledon final on Saturday. Judging by the order that she lists her leisure activities on the WTA website, she enjoys that more than dancing and hanging out with friends (though not qquite as much as swimming, soccer, Formula One, figure-skating, handball and shopping).dddddddddddd You do wonder whether Kerber, who won her first Grand Slam at this years Australian Open, will have a restful night before playing Serena Williams.Aces to acesMilos Raonic has served 114 aces so far at The Championships, and every one of them has caused a little psychological damage to his opponents. If you hit an ace, it gives you freedom as you dont have to play the point, but its more what it does to the other guy, the Canadian has told the Wimbledon Diary. It keeps them guessing and it also builds the pressure on them as they are going to be thinking they have to hold serve.BREAKING - Ivan Lendl does smileCaught on camera at the All England Club -- Ivan Lendl smiling. Usually when Lendl is on public view, the Czech-born US citizen doesnt show his teeth, but he seemed to be having a jolly time when chatting to the Duchess of Cambridge and there it was: his big-dollar American dentistry. Expect him to revert to his usual self when he takes his seat on Centre Court on Friday for Andy Murrays semifinal against Tomas Berdych. ' ' '
