NEW YORK -- Longtime ESPN personality Mike Tirico will make his NBC Sports debut next week as host of the British Open.Tirico will be on both NBC and the Golf Channel for the tournament from the Royal Troon in Scotland, which starts July 14 and runs through July 17.Tirico moves farther south next month, when he will be host of NBCs daytime coverage of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
