Junior welterweight titleholder Ricky Burns will face mandatory challenger Kiryl Relikh on Friday at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, but there is much bigger business at stake for Burns as long as he wins.Burns, the only fighter in Scottish history to win world titles in three weight classes, will be fighting in front of a passionate home crowd and is the heavy favorite.I dont think that being a three-weight world champion will sink in until I hang them up, and I am a long way from that, Burns said.Should Burns emerge victorious, he likely would make his next defense against former four-division titleholder Adrien Broner, the polarizing American who was stripped of the belt Burns now holds for failing to make weight the day before an April 1 defense. On May 28, also at the SSE Hydro, Burns, who also has won world titles at lightweight and junior lightweight, knocked out Italys Michele Di Rocco in the eighth round to win the vacant belt.Broner is expected to watch the fight from ringside on Friday to get an up-close look at Burns and then immediately begin promoting their likely fight.Burns (40-5-1, 14 KOs), 33, said that Broner (32-2, 24 KOs), 27, who has won belts from junior lightweight to welterweight, called him out during his stops at 130, 135 and now at 140 pounds. Now the timing appears to be right for them to finally fight -- as long as Burns wins Friday.[If I] get the job done against Relikh and we can make that fight, Burns said. Im more than prepared to go to America for that fight. People say its a risky fight and more so going over there for it, but I wouldnt take it if I didnt think I could win. I know its a hard fight, but I am more than confident I can beat him anywhere, and if it happens, Ill be really up for it.I think Ive always been on the tip of his tongue because its been meant to happen a few times. I fought for the title that he lost on the scales. Hes been in a bit of bother but seems to be back in the gym and has sorted all that out, so I get this win and that fight should go ahead. Fighting in [Las] Vegas is something that Ive always wanted to do, but Im not one for looking past the job in front of me.That means getting past the 26-year-old Relikh (21-0, 19 KOs), a five-year professional from Belarus, who is largely unknown and facing the first notable opponent of his career. But Relikh has scored knockouts in his past 12 fights and is trained and promoted by one of Englands most famous and popular fighters, retired former welterweight and junior welterweight world titleholder Ricky Hatton. Its going to be interesting to see how [Relikh] copes and adapts to the atmosphere, Burns said. I dont know what sort of person he is. But obviously this is a big step up for him -- first time hes headlined an arena show live on Sky Sports --? and hes walking into the lions den in Glasgow. Hopefully, the fans will make it hostile for him, and I dont think it will sink in the level hes at until theres just me, him and the ref in the ring.Burns said he and trainer Tony Sims have watched some video of Relikh and believe they have the right game plan to turn back his pressure.Hes got a lot of KOs on his record, so he can obviously punch a bit, but its the level of opposition that hes been knocking out, Burns said. He can dig a bit, but were not treating this any differently to any other fight Ive had. Ive had a good, long camp for this one, so theres no fears for me. Were expecting a tough fight. [Welterweight prospect] Conor Benn trained alongside him before and did a bit of sparring with him, and he said that he can punch, but were confident of getting the job done.Burns said he would have liked a bigger fight in this spot, but some that were discussed did not materialize and, of course, Broner looms. So he said he and promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing figured it was best to take care of the mandatory defense and look for a bigger fight next. There were some big fights offered to me. They fell through for this one, but now weve got the mandatory to get out of the way, Burns said. Thats not to disrespect to Relikh. Hes got our full attention, but theres some massive fights out there. I boxed Di Rocco for the vacant belt, so Ive had to do this mandatory straight away, which is fair enough. So we get this win and it leads to massive fights. You have to take notice of the record he brings. They might not be top names that hes been facing, but hes been knocking them out regardless. This is my 48th fight now, and Ive been in with big punchers before. I always wind Tony up and say that its a good job, I dont mind being hit in the face, but my chin has always coped OK.Burns rebounded to claim another title after going through a rough 1-3 stretch in 2014 and 2015. That is when he lost his lightweight belt to Terence Crawford, and also lost to Dejan Zlaticanin -- who later claimed a lightweight world title -- and former lightweight titlist Omar Figueroa Jr. in Burns first fight in the United States and only fight outside of the United Kingdom. If Burns secures the Broner fight, he could he headed back to the United States for a second time.Eddie and Tony only want the biggest fights for me, and thats great, Burns said. Ill fight anyone, and if they happen to be big names in America or big names we bring to Glasgow, then thats great.Nike Air Force 1 Just Do It Schweiz . Nike Air Huarache Schweiz . -- Aldon Smith believes he is on the path to being sober for good.MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Jay Ajayi talked with his offensive line before Sundays game about his yardage objective, and at the time the numbers discussed seemed outrageously optimistic. After all, the Miami Dolphins second-year pro had never had a 100-yard day.I told him before the game, `Lets go for a couple of hundred, guard Jermon Bushrod said. He said 150. And I said, `No, a couple of hundred.Ajayi met the goal by crossing it. He ran 62 yards for a touchdown on his final carry, pushing his total to 204 yards and punctuating the Dolphins 30-15 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was by far the most impressive victory for the Dolphins (2-4) under first-year coach Adam Gase. Their only other win came in overtime against woeful Cleveland. No one likes losing week after week, Ajayi said. We were determined to come out this week and put a stop to that.Ajayi became the first NFL rusher this year to top 160 yards. He joined Ricky Williams as the only Dolphins to rush for at least 200 yards and two scores in a game.Ajayi carried a career-high 25 times, and his other touchdown came on a 1-yard run. He became the Dolphins first 200-yard rusher since Reggie Bush in 2011.Afterward, he said the milestone was still stinking in.In the NFL, probably thats a big thing, Ajayi said. It hasnt hit me yet, but its a big deal. Its something to cherish for sure.It helped that Gases offensive line was intact for the first time this year after a series of health issues. Along with the stout one-man ground game, Miami netted 252 yards passing without a sack.It makes a bigg difference when we have holes and the quarterback is not on his back, Gase said.ddddddddddddAjayi was a fantasy league bargain last week because he totaled just 117 yards in the first five games. He ran for 187 all of last season, his rookie year.He was so off the radar that even after the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin didnt refer to Ajayi by name. That back ran hard, ran through tackles, Tomlin said. The Dolphins saw the potential in the former fifth-round pick from Boise State, even though he fell out of favor at times this year because of fumbling and attitude issues when he wasnt happy about his place on the depth chart.Ive watched him struggle, teammate Jarvis Landry said, and Ive watched him grow by leaps and bounds.Gase went with a four-back rotation early in the season, but when the offense sputtered, he decided to try Ajayi as his feature back.Ajayis previous career high for carries was 13, so he was understandably tired in the fourth quarter. But rookie running back Kenyan Drake and other teammates urged him to finish strong against the equally weary Steelers. It felt great, Ajayi said. The other running backs were pushing me. My boy Drake kept saying, `Get that 200.On the last carry, he did. Objective accomplished.---Follow Steven Wine on Twitter: http://twitter.com/Steve-Wine.
