ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Anaheim Ducks defenceman Luca Sbisa will be out at least six weeks with a torn tendon in his right hand. The NHL-leading Ducks also announced Saturday that goalie Viktor Fasth will miss another 3-4 weeks with muscle inflammation in his lower body. Sbisa and Fasth went on the injured list, and Anaheim recalled goalie Frederik Andersen and defenceman Nolan Yonkman from Norfolk of the AHL. The Ducks recalled defenceman Sami Vatanen from Norfolk on Friday. Sbisa and Fasth had both endured significant injury problems already this season, even before their current woes. Sbisa, who missed the first 15 games of the regular season with an injured ankle, was hurt again during the Ducks 1-0 overtime victory over Tampa Bay on Friday. The Swiss defenceman will have surgery on his wrist Monday. Fasth was expected to start Friday, but the Ducks said he was hurt in warmups. The Swedish goalie missed a month earlier this season with a lower-body injury, limiting him to just five appearances. Andersen made a phenomenal start to his NHL career while filling in for Fasth as Jonas Hillers backup, going 6-1 with a 1.66 goals-against average and .943 save percentage. He was the first goalie in nearly two decades to begin his NHL career with six straight victories. The 32-year-old Yonkman signed with Anaheim in July after playing for Washington, Phoenix and Florida. Anaheim has fought through major injury issues while leading the overall NHL standings for much of the season. Centre Saku Koivu hasnt played since Oct. 27 after getting a concussion. New forward Jakob Silfverberg broke his hand in late October, sidelining him for at least a month after a promising start with the Ducks.
