GENEVA -- Belgium enjoyed an eight-goal rout in World Cup qualifying on Sunday, and Cristiano Ronaldo managed just two -- and missed a penalty -- as Portugal also won.Belgium, which beat Estonia 8-1, and Switzerland extended their perfect starts to join Germany as the only European teams with four straight wins on the road to Russia.Switzerlands 2-0 win over the Faeroe Islands ensured it stayed top in Group B from prolific Portugal, which beat Latvia 4-1. The European champion has 16 goals in its past three matches, including seven for Ronaldo.Still, Belgiums 21-goal tally is Europes best, and Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku were both on target in Brussels. Two big names returned to the scoresheet for the Netherlands in a 3-1 win at Luxembourg. Arjen Robben was playing his first international game this year, and Memphis Depay scored twice.Only group winners advance direct to the 2018 World Cup finals, and four runners-up will go to Russia through a playoff round. Here is what happened on Sunday:---GROUP AThe Netherlands closed the gap on leader France only after conceding a goal to Luxembourg for the first time in 53 years.Arjen Robben returned to national duty after a year sidelined by injuries with a trademark goal in the 36th minute, cutting in from the right and shooting low into the far corner. The Bayern Munich wingers return was ended after only 45 minutes, by which time Luxembourg had leveled from the penalty spot through defender Maxime Chanot. Its a great shame, said Robben, who was advised not to take risks with a small cramp. I wanted to play.Robbens replacement, Memphis Depay, took his chance to score twice. Out of favor with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, Depay headed club teammate Daley Blinds cross for the go-ahead goal. Depay then scored late with a curling free kick. Also Sunday, Ivelin Popov scored after 10 minutes as Bulgaria beat Belarus 1-0 in Sofia.France, which beat Sweden 2-1 on Friday, leads by three points from the Dutch. Sweden is third on goal difference.---GROUP BIt was an eventful evening for Cristiano Ronaldo in Faro.He scored one penalty in the first half, missed another in the second, scored again, and struck the Latvia crossbar with a late header in Portugals 4-1 win. After Ronaldos 59th-minute spot-kick struck a post and bounced away off the goalkeepers legs, Latvia even leveled in the 67th through substitute Arturs Zjuzins.Portugal substitute Ricardo Quaresma then crossed for William Carvalho to restore the lead and Ronaldo make the win safe with a volley. Defender Bruno Alves added a fourth in stoppage time.Leader Switzerland was often labored in beating the Faeroe Islands 2-0, with goals in each half from recalled forward Eren Derdiyok and captain Stephan Lichtsteiner. The Swiss, which beat a Portugal team without Ronaldo in September, is three points clear.Earlier, third-placed Hungary beat Andorra 4-0 and has seven points before traveling to play Portugal in March. Then, Switzerland will be favored to beat Latvia at home.---GROUP HWhile group leader Belgium was crushing Estonia, the dramatic tension unfolded in Athens.A last-gasp goal by Giorgos Tzavelas allowed Greece to keep its grip on second place with a fiery 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both teams ended the game with 10 men, with Kyriakos Papadopoulos getting a red card for striking Edin Dzeko -- in his attempts to wrestle the ball away -- and Dzeko getting a second yellow card for pulling Papadopoulos shorts down.Bosnia, which dominated most of the game, led in the 33rd when Miralem Pjanics free-kick bounced off the right post and then goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis back before finding the net.Tzavelas scored with a blistering shot outside the area in the fifth minute of stoppage time after Bosnias defense only half-cleared a long throw-in.Greece trails Belgium by two points before the teams meet in Brussels on March 25.Belgium followed up its 6-0 win over Gibraltar by going three up in 25 minutes in Sunday, through Thomas Meunier, Dries Mertens and Hazard. Estonia reduced the deficit before half time.Belgium added five more in the second half, including a second for Mertens and two late goals for Lukaku.Cyprus beat Gibraltar 3-1 in the groups other game.George Springer Astros Jersey .C. - The Carolina Hurricanes have placed backup goalie Anton Khudobin on injured reserve with an unspecified lower-body injury. Its just as well they did - nothing could have followed the sensational see-saw tussle that The Boss and The Nature Girl put on inside TD Garden, the inaugural womens bout to close one of WWEs main roster pay-per-views. Charlotte and Banks have been competing against each other since their days in NXT and that familiarity showed during a clash high on quality, emotion and eye-catching spots. Banks was powerbombed through the announce desk, Charlotte tumbled through a table and both were blasted into a steel chair, but the wrestling was exceptionally smooth, too, with Banks triple vertical suplex, a trubute to her idol, the late Eddie Guerrero, a particular highlight. Charlotte is now a three-time Raw Womens Champion The competitors had the crowd in Banks hometown of Boston in the palm of their hand, from the moment Charlotte viciously ambushed her rival before the Cell was lowered into place and left doubts over whether the encounter would take place, to the moment Ric Flairs daughter nailed a match-ending Natural Selection. Charlotte, now 13-0 in singles bouts at PPVs, may have departed with the Raw Womens Title but both were winners - and may yet win Match of the Year. If Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens Battleground ding-dong had that accolade, it might have just lost it.Rollins falls short againThe sub-header of this section seems a tad harsh because while Seth Rollins failed to prise the Universal crown from Owens, it was, as has become customary, only outside interference that prevented him from doing so, with Owens bosom buddy, Chris Jericho, sneaking into the Cell following an injury to an official to dash Rollins hopes of nabbing a third world title in WWE. Seth Rollins lost his Universal Title match Dean Ambrose scuppered Rollins pursuit of a long reign with the WWE World Title when he deployed his Money in the Bank contract in June and a combination of Triple H, Jericho and a stricken referee have stopped him nabbing the Universal strap - though The Architect can console himself slightly following Hell in a Cell, as his powerbomb on Owens, which sent the Canadian through two tables, was an undoubted moment of the night.Gallows, Anderson and Kendrick secure morale-boosting winsLuke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Brian Kendrick are supremely talented and vastly experienced wrestlers but its prrobably fair to say they were floundering a little heading into Hell in a Cell - Gallows and Anderson had been continually foiled in their bid to win New Days tag straps, while Kendrick had been unable to land Raws cruiserweight crown from TJ Perkins.dddddddddddd Brian Kendrick is the new Cruiserweight Champion Yet, Sunday provided a timely boost for the veterans - Anderson and Gallows dispatched fan favourites Enzo Amore and Big Cass to suggest perhaps now is the time for them to dethrone The New Day, while Kendrick leaned even further to the darkside when he taped Perkins wrists to the ropes and faked a knee injury en route to becoming king of his division. All three have now become a whole lot more interesting.New Day survive - againRaw Tag Team Champions Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston keep on rolling along - though they came within a whisker of losing their hardware on Sunday night. With Woods caught in Cesaros Sharpshooter and left with no choice but to tap out, it seemed their 430-day-plus reign would come to a grinding halt and that Cesaro and Sheamus would claim the twin straps. The New Day lost to Cesaro and Sheamus - but kept their titles Fortunately for The New Day, the referee had witnessed Kofi Kingston attacking Sheamus seconds earlier and called for the bell to be rung because of that and not Woods submission. You can now add Kingston to long a list of reasons, which includes Woods trombone Francesca II and former Daily Show host Jon Stewart, why New Day remain kingpins of Raws tag division.WWE Hell in a Cell booking detailsWWE Hell in a Cell will be repeated on Sky Sports Box Office (channel 491) BUT NOT Sky Sports HD Box Office (channel 492) between 10am on Monday, October 31 and 10pm on Thursday, November 3.The show costs £14.95 for customers in the United Kingdom and €21.95 for viewers in the Republic of Ireland, and can be booked in the following ways:ONLINE: Visit this link: https://my.sky.com/orderboxoffice/?DCMP=hellinacellPHONE: UK viewers can call 03442 410 888 to book WWE Hell in a Cell, while customers in the Republic of Ireland should call 0818 220 225.
