GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- North Dakota has extended the contract of football coach Bubba Schweigert through the 2021 season.Schweigert has compiled a record of 21-14 in three years with the Fighting Hawks. This season he led the program to its first Big Sky Conference title and first appearance in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs. Terms of the contract were not disclosed Tuesday.The extension includes a salary pool increase for Schweigerts assistant coaches.
